Q1 - I would like to know the amount of non-emergency patient transport conveyances in and out of DR Grays Hospital, Elgin undertaken by Scottish Ambulance Service?
Please see the attached spreadsheet detailing the total number of Patient Transport journeys that have been completed to and From Dr Grays Hospital in Elgin. The information has been provided broken down by month from 01/01/2024 - 16/09/2026.
Please note that the figure for September 2026 covers only the period from 1 to 16 September 2026 and therefore does not represent a complete month.
Q2 - I would also like to know if Scottish Ambulance Service intend to use or currently use third party providers, and who these currently are.
While the Service holds information relating to its overall commissioning and procurement arrangements, expenditure and provider information is not routinely recorded or forecast on a hospital-specific basis for Dr Gray's Hospital, Elgin.
The Scottish Service does not maintain a record identifying third party providers specifically in relation to patient transport activity associated with Dr Gray's Hospital, Elgin. It is for this reason we have applied section 17 of the Freedom of Information Scotland
